Knowsley Safari - Do I have to wear a face covering.

Unless you are exempt, all guests will be required to wear a face covering in the gift shop, buying a take away from the restaurant or coffee shop, in the sea lion display, indoor bird of prey display and giraffe house. Please do not be offended if requested to wear a face covering in these areas.

Knowsley Safari - What is a 'time slot'?

It is the time you can arrive to Knowsley Safari from (not the time you need to do the Safari Drive) - we understand you may arrive a bit earlier, so we allow admission 15 minutes beforehand. We have limited space before our admission and no toilets.

Knowsley Safari - Can I arrive before my time slot?

We can allow entry 15 minutes before the time slot on your booking - please do not arrive earlier as we have limited space to wait.

Knowsley Safari - I have forgot to add someone on my booking?

Don't panic, bring them along on the day and we can accept contactless card payment on arrival for payment.

Knowsley Safari - I am a carer/I am cared for - what documentation?

Carers are required to show one form of documentation as evidence such as receipt of Carers Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment or Attendance Allowance (or staff ID if from a company).

Knowsley Safari - Will there be toilets available?

Yes there’ll be a queuing system in place for our toilet facilities and social distancing will be monitored. There’ll also be enhanced hygiene regimes for these facilities, so we ask you to be patient as queues are more likely.

Knowsley Safari - Can I get out of my car?

Yes our foot safari will be open with safety measures in place. We also have designated drive in rest spots, we’ve spaced out our picnic tables two metres apart and provided individual bins so that you can stretch your legs safely. You must not get out of your car whilst on the safari drive.

Knowsley Safari - Are you limiting the amount of visitors?

Yes, we’re reopening but we’re dedicated to keeping our visitors safe therefore we are limiting the amount of guests per day and even allocating time slots throughout the day. We’ll be closely monitoring the amount of people in the safari at any one time.

Knowsley Safari - Can I pay at the gate?

No, we’re sorry to protect visitors and staff we’ll only be accepting online bookings.

Knowsley Safari - Is the foot safari open?

Yes the foot safari is open with enhanced cleaning measure and social distancing measures in place.

Knowsley Safari - What hygiene measures have you taken?

Enhanced cleaning regimes are in operation regularly across the safari. Hand sanitisers are available to all guests in key areas.

Knowsley Safari - How do I book tickets?

We’re only taking online bookings to make your visit with us as contactless as possible. You can book an allowed time slot online even on the same day as your visit! However, with reduced capacity and allocated time slots we recommend booking in advance as tickets have been selling out.

Knowsley Safari - How will you maintain everyone social distancing?

We’re asking all our guests to continue to stay at least 2 metres from other families and staff but our staff will also be on hand to ensure enhanced cleaning regimes. We also have one way systems in place across the foot safari. We do ask all guests to be respectful to others and follow the 2 metre rule guidance.

Knowsley Safari - Can I hire a wheelchair/stroller?

Yes, if you’d rather not bring your own, we have wheelchairs, pushchairs and mobility scooters available to hire from the information centre. Take a look at our price list for 1-day hire below

Wheelchair £5.00 (£20.00 deposit)

Mobility Scooter £20.00 (£50.00 deposit)

Knowsley Safari - Do you have disabled parking?

If you are a blue badge holder, we have a dedicated parking area for those with disabilities. Disabled parking bays are adjacent to the entrance, next to the coach park. You can also access the walk around entrance with ease as there is no kerb between the parking bays and entrance.

Knowsley Hall - Will tickets for an event be posted out to me?

If you have purchased tickets for The Lord Chamberlains Men outdoor theatre event you will have the option to have tickets posted out at a charge of £2. Alternatively you can opt for an e-ticket to download and print at home or sent to a mobile phone at a fee of £0.50.   For any other event at Knowsley Hall you will receive an e-ticket that you can show on your mobile phone or tablet.

Knowsley Hall – Do I have to wear a face covering?

Guests are not required to wear a face covering when inside the Hall

Knowsley Hall - Toilet facilities

There are toilets in the Hall that will be open for use.  

Knowsley Hall - Are animals allowed

Animals are not permitted on the Knowsley Estate.

Knowsley Hall – Disabled access

Should you have a disability please alert us prior to your arrival so we can inform the team and advise you where best to park and enter the Hall.  Whilst we make every effort to make as many rooms in the Hall as wheelchair accessible as possible, due to the nature and age of the building we are unable to guarantee all the rooms have easy access.

Knowsley Hall - Refund Policy

Tickets to events are non-refundable and non-transferable.   You may be offered the option to move your booking to an alternative date should there be availability and you notify us within reasonable notice.  In the event of us cancelling the event you will be offered a full refund.

There is free parking facilities on site

Knowsley Hall - Cash Machine

There is no cash machine on site but we do have a card facility.

Knowsley Hall - I am a disabled visitor, does my carer need to pay for a ticket

For our Guided Tours of Knowsley Hall a carer of a registered, paying, disabled visitor is entitled to complimentary admission to Knowsley Hall.  Carer’s must provide evidence such as a blue badge or documentation from the DWP.  Please call the estate office on 0151 489 4827 to notify us before purchasing your ticket.
